Anticus Partners Limited (company number: 07155521) operates solely within the United Kingdom providing venture capital fund management services to investment funds which invest into UK small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 538579). Our registered office is: 1 Capitol Court, Capitol Business Park, Dodworth, Barnsley S75 3TZ (United Kingdom).
This statement is designed to satisfy the requirements of Section 54 Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, by informing our staff, suppliers, investee companies and the public about our policies with respect to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and labour rights violations. We are not required by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to make a statement but are doing so on a voluntary basis.
Anticus Partners Limited (“Anticus Partners”) has a very limited supply chain, the majority of which is centred around the provision of services to and from its registered office in Barnsley. We work with and invest in a wide range of UK based SMEs and consider that these companies, and their professional advisors, form an important part of our obligations with respect to our policies regarding modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our suppliers are appointed following a rigorous evaluation process, which includes (but is not limited to): supplier statements on operational risk; the environment; health and safety as well as adult and child safeguarding. We require all our suppliers to maintain exceptional ethical standards while supplying us, and we will act to terminate contracts where we become aware of serious contraventions. Additionally, we have a ‘raising concerns’ process in place that can be used to register concerns over supplier behaviours.
We also require that all our investee companies have in place statements on operational risk; the environment; health and safety as well as adult and child safeguarding. An important part of our investment due diligence process with any potential investee company, is ensuring that these appropriate policies and procedures are in place and are adhered to.
We have a committed respect for human rights and act accordingly in a socially responsible manner in the provision of our operations. We will always seek to support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and to ensure that our staff, office, supply chains and investee companies are not complicit in human rights abuses.
We expect our supply chain and investee companies to respect and comply with all applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and we reserve the right to terminate a commercial partnership or contractual obligation with any supplier who is found to be in breach of, or who fails to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We take our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and trafficking seriously, and we will keep working with our suppliers and investee companies to ensure that they sign up to and work within our code of conduct.
Anticus Partners is a dynamic organisation with ever-evolving business requirements, and as such we recognise that there will always be improvements that can be made. We intend to continue to review and monitor and, where necessary, enhance our policies and procedures, as well as improve the training and communications about the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
